About

I am a Lecturer in Pedagogies of Art: Practice and History at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at University of Leeds. Previously, I completed two post doctorates in Learning and Teaching in artistic research (School of Film, Music & Theatre, University College Cork, Ireland) and a practice-based PhD (Glasgow School of Art, 2019), funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. Before moving to Leeds, I taught at Glasgow School of Art (GSA) in the Sculpture and Environmental Art department.

I hold an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and received several awards such as the PhD Scholarship (FCT Foundation), the Fulbright Fellowship (declined), the Postgraduate Welcome Scholarship Award (GSA) and the Inov-Art Grant (Portuguese Ministry of Culture). I previously taught at several institutions including the University of Glasgow, University of the Arts London, the Croydon College of Art and the University of Derby. Throughout my career, I worked as an arts administrator and project coordinator in arts-related organisations in the UK, Portugal and USA.
